Earlier this week Blackberry wrote an open letter to their customers, in hopes to encapsulate their user base with Blackberry passion. Here at 51Degrees it reminded us of our first ever Chart of the Week where we compared the newly released Blackberry Z10 against it's fierce market rival, the Sony Xperia Z. This week we take another look at mobile web traffic originating from the same models, over the same countries, 6 months later.

HTC reported their first ever loss this quarter, whilst their main android rivals Samsung, reported record profits. This week 51Degrees take a look at which HTC devices are most popular for browsing the web globally over the last 9 months.

This week we divert from looking at recent mobile websites to take a look at an older offering. Eurostar launched a version of its website optimised specifically for mobile devices over two years ago. Like other websites with mobile offerings it will automatically detect mobile users and redirect them to the appropriate m.eurostar.com site. I journey through this mobile offering to see how this older experience has stood up to the test of time.

With Tesco releasing their new Hudl tablet device earlier this week, 51Degrees compare UK mobile web traffic originating from both smartphone and tablet devices over the last 12 months.

With Over the Air 2013 coming to a close last Saturday, I took some time to reflect on some of the more memorable talks given over the two-day event. Mobile and web performance guru Jon Arne Sæterås' presentation was particularly informative, and inspired me to write a quick summary for people that did not get the chance to see it live in person.
