ASN Defaults

At 51Degrees, we don't just parrot back the ASN country. That's the country that the IP address is registered at. We provide you location confidence. So we can tell you the areas that the IP address is within a particular range actually being used, not where the registrant is based. This is a common problem with alternative legacy solutions, which when they don't really know, they just default back to the ASN country. So you might find there's a lot of usage in Russia, but actually they're telling you those devices are in Holland, for example, because that's where the IP address is registered and they're not recognizing the VPN. So to find out more, checkout location confidence on the 51Degrees website and get started today.
