Which Sony TV Model Is The Most Popular?

Chart of the Week

The TV industry's premier annual event recently took place in Amsterdam. IBC 2013(International Broadcasting Convention) attracted over 52,000 attendees from over 170 countries around the world. To celebrate 51Degrees having exhibited at IBC 2013, we take a look at the most popular Sony TV models in August 2013.

Global Sony TV Web Traffic - Most Popular Models

Earlier this year 51Degrees.mobi won DTG's 'Accelerating multi-screen business innovation' award. Part of our prize was an exhibition spot on the DTG stand at IBC 2013, where James, Ruth and Nancy attended and had a great time.

Looking at our new television data from August we can see that the popularity spread is quite even over the five most popular models. Edging ahead into first place is the KDL-40CX520 on 26%, this model has a 40" screen, while the KDL-55HX853 which has a 55" screen follows closely behind with 21% of the share.

Four of the five most popular Sony TV models are equipped with 40" screens which remains consistent with the dominance of 40" TVs as the most widely used TV screen size for web interactions.

51Degrees.mobi recently added over 120 new TV and smart devices to our device detection database, enabling content creators to build innovative content for upcoming technologies.

Thanks again to everyone who visited us in Amsterdam at the IBC.
