This week we look at Huawei Devices

Huawei Technologies has a strong market presence in many large countries across the world, notably the US, Canada, UK, France, India, Russia and Turkey. Established in 1987, this Chinese manufacturer now sells its products in over 140 countries in the world.

This week 51Degrees looks at the most popular Huawei devices in the UK in June 2015. The most popular Huawei model for browsing is Y330-U01with almost 20% of total browsing time for Huawei models. . This device is equipped with a 4 inch display and, although it was released in April 2014, it’s still widely used to access the web. Second place for browsing on Huawei is the Y550-L01 model with over 13% of generated Huawei web traffic. It works on a bigger 4.5 inch screen compared to other devices (see graph above). In third place, comes the older Huawei smartphone, the Y300-0100 that has been available since March 2013. In fourth position is the G6205 with just over 9% for accessing the web. The last place in our rankings of Huawei devices for web browsing is the Eagle 4G LTE, an 8 inch screen tablet which also supports phone call.

Last week 51Degrees added two further Huawei devices detailed below:

Huawei 204HW

The Huawei 204HW is a 4 inch display smartphone, equipped with a 1950 mAh battery that markets itself on being able to support conversations for up to 570 minutes. Inside it has a dual core Cortex-A5 on Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8225 chipset supported by Qualcomm Adreno 203 graphic processor. This model has a 5 mega pixel camera that can produce good quality pictures. For a price of $148, this appears a good value option for those wishing to make long phone calls and enjoy high quality photos.

Huawei Y360-U61

Another device placed in our database is the Huawei Y360. It has a 4 inch TFT display with an 800 x 480 resolution and 16 million colours. This is powered by a Cortex –A7 Quad core clocked at 1.2 MHz on Mediatek MT6582 chipset. Assisted by Mali-400 it provides good graphical effects. This device is equipped with a 2 Mega pixel front camera for taking good selfies. Internal storage is not excessive at 4 GB, but it can be increased to 32 GB with a Micro-SD card.
