Karbonn Alfa A93 POP and Karbonn A119

Karbonn Mobiles is an Indian brand manufacturing mobile devices. Founded in 2009 by Pradeep Jain, it is a joint venture of Jaina Marketing & Associates and United Telelinks Limited. Over twenty years of experience has helped to create a leading team that has seen Karbonn quickly become recognizable. The company has one of the fastest growth rates in mobile device consumption in India.

Karbonn are expanding into new territories by offering a growing range of mobile communication devices.

October 2012, saw Karbonn announce the launch of their brand extension Karbonn Smart. The range includes a smart tab and a number of new smartphones using the Android operating system.

In February 2014, Microsoft announced Karbonn as a hardware partner of the Windows Phone operating system. 2014 also saw Karbonn bring the first Android One phone to the UK market through Amazon.

Alfa A93 POP

The Alfa A93 POP has a 4 inch LCD technology screen with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution. The device has a 1300 mAh battery which allows the user to make phone calls for up to 240 minutes. Standby time is up to 180 hours. It has dual cameras, 2MP rear camera with LED Flash and VGA resolution at the front. Inside we can find a Dual core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz supported by an ARM Mali-400MP graphic processor. It has 512 MB RAM and 8 GB storage capacity with the possibility of extending it to 32GB and the device works on WCDMA technology and supports Bluetooth.

A119

The Smartphone A119 has a bigger 5 inch TFT technology display with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution. It has a removable battery with 1600 mAh capacity. Talk time is up to 240 minutes and standby time equals 192 hours. The device has two cameras; an 8MP back camera with LED Flash and 2MP front camera. The handset is powered by ARM Cortex-A7 dual-core processor clocked at speeds of 1.3GHz and supported by ARM Mali-400MP. Everything is based on MediaTek MT6572 chipset accompanied by 512MB of RAM. The built-in memory is 4GB, which is further expandable up to 32GB through microSD cards. Dual SIM is supported and the device runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). The cost of this handset is around $80.
