Among the 253 devices we have added to the 51Degrees database this week, are 3 Archos devices we thought we would profile this week:

Archos 50c Neon

The Archos 50c Neon is a New Budget 5" 3G smartphone typically retailing at $110. It has a 5" IPS multi touch screen with a resolution of 854x480. The screen is powered by a quad core Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.2Ghz with 1024MB of RAM and a Mali-400 MP2. It has only 8GB of on-board memory but this is expandable by an additional 64GB via the MicroSD card slot. There is the option to use two sim cards with its dual sim card slot and it also has dual cameras a 8.0Mpx rear camera and a 5.0Mpx front facing camera. All this runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Archos 50c Neon

Archos 96 Xenon

This the first of two tablets from Archos. The 96 Xenon is a 9.6" tablet with 3G connectivity for internet connectivity wherever you go. It has a HD IPS screen with a resolution of 1280x800. This is powered by a quad core Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.3Ghz with 1024MB of RAM and a Mali-400 MP GPU. The 96 Xenon runs on Android 4.4 and comes with a suite of media apps that have been developed by Archos to provide a great multimedia tablet experience, including the Archos Video Player with MPEG-2 codec, Archos Remote Control, Archos Weather, Archos Smart Home and Archos Connected Self.

Archos 101 Magnus

Also a 3G tablet, yet the 101 Magnus packs a bigger 10.1" MVA screen with a resolution of 1024x600. Powered by a quad core Cortex-A7 running at 1.3Ghz with 1024MB of RAM and Mali-450 MP4 GPU. This makes it the perfect tablet for playing your favourite android tablet games.

Profiles and Combinations Update

  • Last week the 51Degrees Data Team added 253 new devices to our device detection database.
