Android dominated the 2013 Q2 Smartphone shipments whilst iOS dropped.

Global smartphone shipments managed to reach 229.6 million units in Q2 of this year, up 46.7% from 156.5 million in Q2 2012. Android sold 79.5% of global handsets whilst iOS dropped down to 13.6%. Growth was driven by a strong demand for Android models across all price-tiers in developed and developing markets, such as the US, China and Brazil. Android now accounts for an impressive 8 in 10 of all smartphones shipped on the planet.

WordPress release version 3.6 to the world

The latest version of WordPress, version 3.6, is now live to the world and includes the new 'modern art' focused, Twenty Thirteen theme. Other new features include: 'bullet-proof' autosaving & post locking, a revamped revision browser, native support for audio and video embeds and improved integration with Spotify, Rdio, & SoundCloud. Battle of the web browser - Google Chrome gains more ground

Internet Explorer and Chrome have managed to gain market share over the past two months. Internet Explorer seemed to gain an increase of 0.46%, Chrome 0.59% and Firefox lost a solid 0.86%.

Meanwhile both Safari and Opera dropped a small portion of market share, down 0.13% and 0.09% respectively. Read more.
