User-agent is "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 8_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/600.1.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0 Mobile/12A402", but 51 Degrees detects that device is android, browser is not Safari and so on.

    Hi Dmitrii,

Thank you for contacting 51Degrees. We have now added the user-agent to our database, which will resolve the detection. This update will be available in our Enterprise data file today. Are you able to download and confirm correct detection?

If you have any further user-agents for consideration you can email datasupervisors@51degrees.com and we will be happy to investigate.

    Kind Regards,
    Amos Tamang

    Hi Dimitrii,

Apologies for the delay in responding - The reason for poor detection was that we'd not seen this particular User-Agent before. It has now been added to our database and if you download the latest Enterprise data file you should find it now detects correctly.

I don't know if you currently share usage data with us, enabling this option enables us to automatically add UAs such as this to our system and improve detection https://51degrees.com/support/faqs/usage-data

    Kind Regards,
    Liz.

    Hi Liz,

We are using golang API, so usage sharing option is disabled for us. How could we enable it? Could we notify 51Degrees about poor detection of User-Agent's using HTTP endpoint?

    Hi Dmitrii

At the moment we do not have functionality for Usage Sharing available with GoLang and it's not something in our roadmap we would be able to work on right now.

However, with that being said we are more than happy for you to send us over a collated list of User-Agents that we can investigate and add to the database if necessary.

If you Email support@51degrees.com we can go from there. Any questions let me know.

51degrees detects Unknown OS for UserAgent "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 12_0.1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/12.0 Mobile/16A405".

And one more please: "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 11_4.1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/11.0 Mobile/15G77"

We're preparing system that will collect all missed UserAgents and then we'd like to send it to you. How may we do this? I'm not sure it'll be small lists.

If you send over a csv of the collated User-Agents directly to us, we can review. Drop an email to support@51degrees.com and we can go from there.

    Hi Dmitrii,

I have reviewed the User-Agent and it is in the latest Premium and Enterprise Export file. Can you download the latest file to check if you are still having this problem.

    Hi Dmitrii

The data team confirmed that these User-Agents have been added and will be available in our Premium export Wednesday / Enterprise Tomorrow.

If you believe you will be sending over additional UAs, I would strongly recommend Emailing either support@51degrees/data@51degrees.com. This will allow us to pick up your request faster due to the inherent delay of approving forum posts.
