Micromax Data Update

Micromax is the tenth largest smartphone vendor in the world

Established in Dehli in 2000, Micromax built up its software business, and in 2008 it entered into the mobile phone market.  Two years later it has expanded to include tablets. In a short space of time, Micromax has experienced significant success, expanding their market, including entering into Russia last year. They are currently the second largest smartphone company in India and the tenth largest in the world. 

Below we examine two of their latest 'Canvas' family smartphones:

Canvas Spark 2

The Canvas Spark 2 smartphone has a 5 inch display equipped with a 1800 mAh battery that is able to support conversations up to 510 minutes. Powered by a Cortex-A7 quad core clocked at 1.3 Ghz on Mediatek MT6580M chipset, this model has two cameras, a 5MP rear camera with Flash and a 2MP front camera for video conferences. Thanks to a 4GB internal memory with extension possibility and inbuilt Bluetooth v4.0, essential files can be conveniently stored on the phone as well as shared quickly with others.  This smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.

Canvas Blaze 4G

The Canvas Blaze 4G smartphone has a smaller 4.5 inch display with HFWVGA resolution, 16 million colours and is equipped with a 2000 mAh battery. Inside it has a quad core Cortex-A7 on Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 chipset supported by Qualcomm Adreno 304 graphic processor. This smartphone has a 5MP rear camera with flash and 2MP front camera, making it is easy to capture unforgettable moments. Containing 8GB storage that is expandable up to 32GB. This smartphone is a good value option available at $155.
