Looking at HTC Desire Eye specifications

This week introduces HTC's smartphone Desire Eye that was announced in October 2014 and released this month.

Let’s look at the HTC Desire Eye

After a short break and the successful release of Nexus 9 in co-operation with Google, HTC is back with their own mid-range smartphone Desire Eye. HTC Desire Eye definitely looks like a member of the HTC's mid-range line-up, though its hardware specifications give us another vision.

It still runs on Android KitKat, however HTC is going to upgrade this operating System to a more recent version between January-March 2015.

A large 5.2 inch IPS screen will allow more comfortable typing on the virtual keyboard and a better view. Also with great resolution of 1080 x 1920px pictures and videos will look much better.

The Desire Eye is equipped with two cameras, back and front both of them 13 MP. A two-tone LED flash will be useful for those who would like to take photos no matter where. According to HTC the Desire Eye has 2400 mAh battery capacity, which is not bad, but unfortunately this is not user-replaceable.

HTC’s new smartphone comes with an impressive 2GB RAM and up to 16 GB ROM, the phone also supports micro SD cards up to 128 GB, this means you don't need to worry if you like listening to music or taking pictures. According to HTC there will be enough space for everything.

This smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.

Both the Americas and Global models of Desire Eye will have high-speed data connectivity LTE and a Bluetooth version of 4.0+A2DP+aptX. Contactless NFC technology allows making payment through apps on the smartphone easier.

With the HTC Desire Eye there's no need to worry about getting lost either due to the A-GPS and GLONASS.

And thanks to IPX7 you can even drop your phone into water up to a meter deep, should you wish to do so.
