Asus ZenFone 2 Laser

New 'IsSmartWatch' property now available

Asus tried to differentiate itself from the crowded Android phone market with the introduction of the ZenFone 2 Laser (Z00TD), which has a Laser autofocusing system for its 13 megapixel rear camera. It claims to be using a Laser autofocusing system with 3X faster autofocusing than traditional focusing methods, which allows the camera to perform extremely well in low light environments. In addition to the back camera, it has a 5 megapixel front camera with wide-angle feature, perfect for taking selfies and video chatting.

Affordably priced at $199 in US market, the  ZenFone 2 Laser’s 5.5 inch Gorilla Glass 4 screen is two times less susceptible to drop damage and has an 85% less chance to break. Having full HD 1920*1080 IPS display, it offers stunning colour and vibrancy with an incredible 403ppi density for the most realistic image. It is also equipped with a hovering Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor, which allows powerful multitasking while ensuring enhanced user experience.

ZenFone 2 also distinguishes itself from the other latest Android smartphones by allowing users to have spare battery when it is needed by featuring a 3000mAh removable battery. Similarly, it features 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM while having space for a 128GB Micro SD card. Having integrated 4G LTE, the ZenFone 2 Laser is also capable of having a 2 Micro sim card.

The device comes with a standard suite of connectivity options featuring Bluetooth 4.0+ EDR+ A2DP, GPS, AGPS and GLONAS and Micro USB. There is a range of sensors supported by device; G-Sensor, E-Compass, Proximity and Light sensor.

However, the phone does not offer NFC technology, which is very common in budget phones. It also lacks the latest Android version 6.0 as it still runs on Android Lollipop. With the impressive features of Octa-core processor, solid camera and durable screen, it is a solid bargain phone and it is rare to see a phone with this level of specification at this price.
